Design Associate/CAD Technician

Job Overview:

Conveyor and Automation Technologies (CAT) is seeking a Design Associate/CAD Technician to support our engineering team in the design and development of custom automated solutions.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Create 2D drawings and BOMs from assemblies designed by an engineer.
• Get quotes, compare pricing and order components necessary to construct complete assemblies.
• Track the status of purchase orders and productions run to release sections to the shop to be assembled.
• Prepare documentation packages for completed projects comprised of technical drawings, spare parts lists and maintenance manuals.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of CAT engineering standards in regards to the design, documentation, and fabrication of common equipment.

Basic Qualifications

• 2 Year Associates Degree
• Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software’s.
• Experience creating, reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Proficient in Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be organized, show attention to detail and demonstrate good documentation practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Autodesk Inventor
• Experience in AutoCAD
• Interest in conveyor, robotics and automation

Must have own transportation....Not accessible by Light Rail or Public Transportation
